The cane is 10.5-11mm in diameter and the gouge leaves the cane approximately 0.58mm thick. The shape is our own custom shape which is designed to provide great response across the oboe's range.

Cane review

After many years of buying Oboe reeds I have decided to return to making them again. I haven't really had much luck yet. One of the canes broke (my fault) and I haven't had much luck with the wax thread which I believe is too thick so have ordered some more suitable thread. i will let you know how I get on.
