Different colours would be good

I ordered this thread along with a reed-making kit, so I'd get two different colours of thread to work with. Unfortunately I was sent two spools of black, which isn't ideal. One black and one coloured would have been much better. But the thread seems to work fine.

Dear David, we sent out the kit thread in the colour black as we believed that because you had specifically ordered one seperatly in black, that this was the colour you wanted - many people only use the one colour and will often buy more than one reel of of the same colour thread. For future reference, you can always get in touch regarding swapping colours, etc. Best wishes, Matthew

Spare the knife

Using a flat metal plaque can blunt your knife and also cause the reed to break because it is too flat. The convex ebony plaque solves both problems.

Have tried it a couple of times. Appears to do exactly what it claims - is very comfortable, easy to assemble and takes some of the strain off my thumb, hand and wrist, without getting in the way.
