Effective (but not cheap)

Read about these on Barrick Stees site, and the principle of a long forming taper makes good sense to me. (The taper section is about 42mm in total.) So far seem effective. Worth noting that the associated Pin Mandrel Vice is quite 'chunky', coming in at around 225g.

Thanks for the review Adrian. Sadly, UK customs and VAT makes the price for these mandrel tips more expensive than most but, as you say the principal is very good and I know several people who swear by them! We are currently looking at a lighter (and potentially cheaper) alternative for the pin vice mandrel holder - will keep you posted! All the best, Matthew
